Kelsey Miles

Dr. Kelsey Miles is a Kansas City-based blues artist, harmonica player, and songwriter celebrated for her powerful voice, dynamic performances, and compelling original music. Originally from Ohio, Kelsey moved to Wisconsin in 2013, where she began her musical career. While earning her doctorate in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she picked up a guitar for the first time in 2014. By 2017, she had transitioned from full-time chemist to full-time musician, becoming a prominent figure in Wisconsin’s vibrant music scene.

Now based in Kansas City, Kelsey recently won the Kansas City Blues Society’s “Road to Memphis” competition and will proudly represent Kansas City at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, in January 2025. Known for her soulful storytelling and electrifying performances, Kelsey’s music inspires boldness, curiosity, and self-expression.
